My Drive

My Drive is your personal file management interface where you can organize, upload, download, and share your content.

Overview​

The My Drive section provides a comprehensive file management system that allows you to:

  • View all your uploaded files and folders
  • Organize content in a hierarchical folder structure
  • Perform file operations (copy, move, rename, delete)
  • Share files via links or with specific users
  • Connect to third-party cloud storage providers

Interface​

The My Drive interface consists of several key components:

Top Navigation Bar​

  • View Options - Toggle between Grid, Group, and List views
  • Search - Find files and folders by name
  • Actions Menu - Access frequent operations like upload, create folder, and add downloads
  • Refresh - Update the file listing to show the latest changes
  • Sidebar Toggle - Show/hide the sidebar for more viewing space
  • Shows your current location in the folder hierarchy
  • Allows quick navigation to parent folders
  • Displays your path from the root directory

File Browser​

The file browser displays your files and folders with:

  • Icon-based file type identification
  • File size and last modified information
  • Preview capabilities for compatible file types
  • Search functionality to locate specific files
  • Sorting options (by name, date, size, etc.)

View Options​

My Drive offers three different ways to view your files:

Grid View​

  • Displays files and folders as thumbnails in a grid layout
  • Shows preview thumbnails for images, videos, and documents
  • Provides quick visual identification of file types
  • Best for visual browsing and managing media files

Group View​

  • Organizes files by type (images, videos, documents, etc.)
  • Shows file groups in expandable sections
  • Makes it easy to find files of a specific type
  • Ideal for accounts with many different file types

List View​

  • Shows files in a detailed list format
  • Displays comprehensive information (name, size, type, date)
  • Allows for efficient sorting and browsing
  • Best for accounts with many files that need organizing

File Operations​

From the My Drive interface, you can perform various operations:

File Management​

  • Upload Files - Add files from your local device to SonicBit
  • Download Files - Save files from SonicBit to your local device
  • Create Folders - Organize your content with customizable folder structures
  • Move Files - Relocate files between folders
  • Copy Files - Duplicate files to different locations
  • Rename Files - Change file or folder names
  • Delete Files - Remove unwanted content
  • Select Multiple Items - Perform batch operations on multiple files

File Preview​

  • Image Preview - View images directly in the browser
  • Document Preview - Read documents without downloading
  • Video Preview - Watch videos directly in the browser
  • Audio Preview - Listen to audio files

File Sharing​

  • Generate shareable links with optional password protection
  • Set expiration dates for temporary access
  • Configure permissions (view-only, edit, etc.)
  • Share directly with other SonicBit users

Special Features​

Remote Upload​

Transfer files directly from your My Drive to connected remote drives without downloading them first:

  1. Select files in My Drive
  2. Choose "Remote Upload" option
  3. Select the destination remote drive and folder
  4. Initiate the transfer

Remote Download​

Download files from the internet directly to your drive:

  1. Click "Add Task" and select "Remote Download"
  2. Enter the file URL
  3. Choose destination folder
  4. Start download

Archive Management​

  • Extract compressed files (ZIP, RAR, etc.) directly in the browser
  • Create ZIP archives from your files and folders
  • Preview archive contents before extraction

Torrent Management​

For users with Seedbox access:

  • Add torrent files directly to your My Drive
  • Monitor download progress
  • Access downloaded files in your My Drive

Remote Drives​

Connect your third-party cloud storage accounts to SonicBit:

  • Google Drive integration
  • OneDrive connection
  • Dropbox linking
  • Other supported cloud providers

Once connected, you can:

  • Browse files from your connected accounts
  • Mount remote drives to My Drive for seamless access
  • Move files between SonicBit and remote drives
  • Remote upload files directly to your cloud storage

Search Capabilities​

Find your files quickly with:

  • Filename search
  • File type filtering
  • Content search (for supported file types)
  • Advanced search options (size, date, etc.)

Drive Settings​

Access Drive Settings to configure:

  • Default view preferences (Grid, Group, or List view)
  • Automatic sorting options
  • File operations confirmations
  • Storage cleanup options
  • Remote drive connection management
